1) The main purpose for getting together and playing is to have fun and to create a space where everybody can have a good time.
2) Start on time, finish on time - no need to force people to wait around or to unnecessarily drag out tournaments to sunset. Courts and equipment will be set up and broken down on time.
3) Be clear about seeding, format and be on top of things to make sure events run smoothly. Don't declare prize money based on director's likely finish, don't ignore women's bracket, come prepared with pool sheets and elimination brackets.
4) Better players should help out and encourage newer players. It's about building the scene, not breaking it down.
5) After facility fees, all money goes back to the players. Winners are encouraged to buy beers for whomever sticks around through the finals.
6) Information should be kept current - entry lists, start times, results, etc. No point to stale, infrequent, and irregular updates.
